2020 Round Up with ALWZ SNNY

ALWZ SNNY burst onto the scene this year with a single aim of having fun and spreading joy to the people with his music and boy did he do just that. Having developed his sound to a unique blend of Country and Dance, ALWZ SNNY has gripped audiences with hits such as ‘Love Revolution’, ‘Still Wait 4U’ and ‘As Long As We’re Together’. We caught up with ALWZ SNNY to get his overview of 2020 and the plans he has for 2021.

First off, how has this year been for you considering the circumstances?

I think it has been a great freshman year! This time a year ago, no one had ever heard of ALWZ SNNY. It was all just a mere thought in my mind still. So given the circumstances, I think it’s been successful.

What has been your highlight of 2020?

It’s a tie, between “Love Revolution” reaching 1 million views on YouTube, and “As Long As We’re Together” charting at #51 song in Stockholm on YouTube.

Which release of yours has been your favourite this year?

“Love Revolution”, it just means so much to me.

How do you feel your artistry has developed over 2020?

I feel like I have found my sound. I am really excited to continue building on this Country Dance thing I have going.

Have you achieved the goals you set out to do in 2020?

Absolutely! The primary goal was to have fun, and I’ve definitely done that!

Which other artist has been an inspiration to you this year?

It has to be Imanbek, to remix a song from your bedroom with no support (initially) from the main artist and turn it into a global hit. That is amazing and inspiring!

What are your resolutions for 2021?

Have fun, play in a festival, and get a single deal from a label.

Where would you like to see your career this time next year?

It would be amazing to be on the radar of a Tomorrowland, Sziget, EDC, or another major festival.

Do you have any big plans in the pipeline that we can get excited about?

I have a new song and video coming out in January with a new group called Prezence. They are a mix of reggae, hip hop, and electronic. Combining that with my Country Dance style sounds so sick!

Finally, if you could give one word, to sum up, your 2020, what would it be and why?

Fun! Making music and playing is supposed to be fun. I never want to forget that!
