Ken Bauer discussed his latest track ‘Lone’

Swedish dance phenomenon Ken Bauer has returned to release a brand-new tune that is a fusion of Slap and Future House called ‘Lone’. With some impressive support behind the track just 2 weeks after release, ‘Lone’ is set to be one of Ken’s biggest hits yet. We caught up with Ken to discuss more about the process behind the tune.

Talk us through the story behind ‘Lone’?

This is basically a follow up to my previous track “Pill of Love” released together with Sonny Bass. I have been listening to a lot to Slap House lately and have a few tracks in the genre coming up.

How would you sum the track up in 3 words?

Sexy, Fresh, Powerful

Can we hear any of your influences in this track?

They are all over the place. Nice drums with a touch of swing together with nice snare rolls and a cool drop.

What is your favourite part of the release?

It has to be the vocals and the drop because I was walking down the streets passing a musician playing the accordion and at that moment, I got the idea for the drop.

Who would you like to see supporting ‘Lone’?

Well with 100k streams in just 2 weeks I am happy already with the support!! A lot of airtime on radio and the promo has been downloaded by or behalf of Niki Belucci, Blasterjaxx, Anna Lunoe / Beats 1, Ferry Corsten, Flash Brothers, Amero, Sophie Francis, Dimitri Vegas, Don Diablo, NEVERGLOW, ASCO, DJ Fuel, Lost Frequencies, Jasted, WaWa, DJ Amadeus & Robaer.

How does this compare to some of your other releases?

Well, it is definitely softer than my earlier stuff but a really nice follow up to my latest releases on Sirup Music and Future House Cloud.

What was it like working with Future House Cloud?

Amazing, the team lead by Bjarne Langenohl are so professional and has such great attention to detail. The launch was awesome and the support from Spotify playlisters and bloggers has been great.

Can you let us into anymore projects in the pipeline?

I am currently working in two directions. One is the softer Future House / Slap House genre and the other is more toward club and festivals and I have some really cool tracks coming out soon.

Finally, where can the people go to grab a copy?
