Check Out This New Track ‘Open Up By Liam Morrison

Touching down on promo we have the brand-new cut from Liam Morrison ‘Open Up’. Hailing from Melbourne, Australia’s Electronic music Capital, the 19-year-old talent has been making waves and fast become a regular on nightclub line-ups across the city. Landing on Hungry Koala Records for a June release – Liam has delivered an epic production that’ll slot right in with the quality on show via the imprint’s solid discography.

Kicking off with a subtle and melodic arpeggio that harks back to more classic Trance vibes – Liam raises the tension with Progressive filtering and synth development before letting loose a huge bass stack that supplements the melodic content – offering a more brooding atmosphere. The contrast between the uplifting mid 2000s Progressive House pluck and the stubborn bass makes for an enchanting listen as we’re thrown between euphoria and underground prowess. A hypnotising vocal pattern fills the breaks to add a memorable layer to the melody before the whole structure evaporates apart into silence before that slamming bassline returns with added LFO and potency for the main event.

It’s a blast of a record for Liam Morrison, who despite his youth is producing records with the technical know-how of someone way beyond his age. Not only is he showing a thorough understanding of the 2020 format, but also impressively is able to recreate the sound signatures of a decade ago, before he ever even stepped foot in a studio.

‘Open Up’ will be available on all good digital music platforms on June 29th via Hungry Koala Records.
