2020 Roundup with Lenell Brown

Having solidified his place for one of the ultimate voices for EDM tracks, Lenell’s discography has been ever-increasing with tracks of pure quality. He has been responsible for extraordinary releases such as ‘One Day’, ‘Freak Dreams’ and ‘I Need Lovin’. His career has taken him around the globe, working with some of the scenes most talented producers like Robbie Rivera and The Zombie Kids to name a few. In a year where his international wings were clipped, we caught up with Lenell to find out about his 2020.

First off, how has this year been for you considering the circumstances?

Considering the circumstances, I have had a very productive year.

What has been your highlight of 2020?

I have many but, the success of the ‘ONE DAY’ track which spent 5 consecutive months in the top of the charts on 2 of Spain’s radio stations which still continues to this day to bounce in and out of the charts. It was a very unexpected surprise.

Which release of yours has been your favourite this year?

Now that’s a tough question. I released 10 incredible tracks this year all very different in styling from each other also with different collaborations. With that being said I have to say that the ‘One Day’ track is for sure my favourite which was released in January and really set the tempo for the 2020 year.

How do you feel your artistry developed over 2020?

I think that due to the circumstances of the Covid virus, it took the focus away from performing live which presented me with the opportunity to concentrate more on the vocal performance and styling of each production.

Have you achieved the goals you set out to do in 2020?

I believe so. Despite it being a very challenging year, it was also one of my most productive years capping it off with an unexpected placement of our ‘Turn It Up’ track on Clipper’s Sounds ‘Winter Sounds 2020’ compilation album.

Which other artist has been an inspiration to you this year?

I found myself listening to Alesso – Midnight feat. Liam Payne often. Totally love the production and vocal styling…

What are your resolutions for 2021?

I guess staying healthy is at the top of the list and continuing to produce great tracks with new collaborations.

Where would you like to see your career this time next year?

Hopefully with a number of charting tracks and live performances and top video productions being filmed in different countries. I’ve really missed travelling this year.

Do you have any big plans in the pipeline that we can get excited about?

Actually the placement of our newest single ‘Turn It Up’ on the Clipper’s Sounds ‘Winter Sounds 2020’ album which is out now that will next big thing in the pipeline to finish this year off with a BANG.

Finally, if you could give one word, to sum up your 2020, what would it be and why?

Wow, just one word? That’s hard I have to go with two. Blessed and Flexible.  ‘Blessed’ to still be here and to have had a fantastic year and ‘Flexible’ which allowed me to navigate through these crazy turbulent times.
